Pittsfield: Berkshire Athenaeum offers genealogy classes

The Berkshire Athenaeum and the Berkshire Family History Association are sponsoring genealogy classes for beginners.

Classes include Organizing Your Family Research and Introduction to the Census, Sept. 15; Using Vital Records/Beginning Immigration Research, Sept. 22; Introduction to Ancestry.com, Sept. 29; and Introduction to Familysearch.org, Oct. 6.

All classes are from 10 a.m. to noon.

Class instructors will be library volunteers Janet Rogge and Angela Rifkin, along with Vera Silvia.

Classes are free and open to the public but limited to 10 participants.
