Pittsfield: Berkshire Concert Choir issues call for singers

Posted

Singers are welcome for the fall semester of the Berkshire Concert Choir's 39th season. The choir will begin rehearsals Wednesday, Sept. 7, in the chorus room at Pittsfield High School, East Street.

Rehearsals are held every Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Singer registration will take place before the first rehearsal, so early arrival is encouraged. There are no auditions.

Dues are $40; students are free. The last date to join is Sept. 28. As part of its "Bring a Friend" campaign, singers are encouraged to bring along a friend or family member who might want to join the choir.

The fall concert, under the direction of Paula Nuss, artistic director, will be on Saturday, Nov. 19, at Berkshire Community College. The program will be the Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" with dual pianos and percussion.
