Pittsfield: Berkshire Immigrant Center to conduct clothing drive
The Berkshire Immigrant Center will mark National Welcoming Week with a "Welcoming Winter" clothing drive.
During the week and through the end of September, the Center will be collecting gently used clothing with an emphasis on winter coats and boots to distribute to the immigrant and refugee community.
Clothing donations are welcome and can be dropped off Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Berkshire Immigrant Center’s office on the second floor of First Baptist Church, 88 South St.
"National Welcoming Week," from Sept. 15 to 22, promotes meaningful connections and a spirit of unity between U.S. and foreign-born Americans.
