Pittsfield: Berkshire Talking Chronicle is subject of talk


The Jewish Federation of the Berkshires will present "What is a Radio Reading Service," with Beverly Prentice, coordinator of The Berkshire Talking Chronicle, at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at Congregation Knesset Israel, 16 Colt Road.

Since 1984, The Berkshire Talking Chronicle, which broadcasts on a low-power FM frequency, has provided a free-of-charge radio reading service to visually-impaired and print-handicapped listeners in the Berkshires.

The program is open to the public at a cost of $3.
