Pittsfield: BMC Cancer Center seeks Berkshire Heroes nominations

The Cancer Center at Berkshire Medical Center is seeking nominations from the public for its annual Berkshire Heroes recognition program.

Berkshire Heroes are the people and organizations that have had a positive impact on the lives of those being treated for cancer.

The public can nominate people or organizations in the following categories: Healthcare providers at Berkshire Health Systems; patients; caregivers; compassionate community members and organizations.

Nominations can be made online by visiting www.berkshirehealthsystems.org or www.berkshirehealthsystems.org/berkshireheroes. Nominations will be accepted until Thursday, Oct. 6.

A Berkshire Hero will be selected from each category, and they will honored at the 2016 Taste of Life Wine & Beer Tasting Event benefiting the BMC Cancer Center on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Hillcrest Campus of BMC.

People can also register to attend the Taste of Life event through the same web addresses.
