Pittsfield: BMC offers diabetes classes
The Diabetes Education program at Berkshire Medical Center is offering classes in October and November for those with diabetes, focusing on a wide range of issues.
There are four classes scheduled on consecutive Tuesdays in October, Oct. 2 to 23, each running from 6 to 8 p.m. at the BHS Diabetes Education program offices at 510 North St.
The November classes are held on Wednesdays, Nov. 7 to Dec. 5, with the exception of Nov. 21, from 1 to 3 p.m., also at 510 North St.
The classes are open to anyone age 18 and over with diabetes, and the cost of the classes is covered by most insurance programs.
Pre-registration and pre-qualification are required for either series of classes. Call the Diabetes Education program at (413) 395-7942 to enroll, or register online on the Berkshire Health Systems website, www.berkshirehealthsystems.org, click on the Calendar link. Interested individuals should enroll as soon as possible.
