Berkshire Medical Center’s Diabetes Education Program is offering a free series of educational sessions on pre-diabetes in February.

The sessions are designed for those whose physician has told them their blood sugar levels are elevated but not high enough to be considered diabetes, or for those who have been told they are at risk for diabetes.

The next session is scheduled for Mondays, Feb. 4 and 11, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the BHS Diabetes Education Program offices, third floor of the BMC Medical Arts Complex. The program will be presented by Julie Shepard, registered dietitian at BMC.

The programs are limited to 20 participants, and pre-registration is required. To register, call the BHS Diabetes Education Program at (413) 395-7942 or register online at www.berkshirehealthsystems.org.
