Pittsfield: BMC to host lecture on fall prevention


Berkshire Medical Center’s Rehabilitation Services will hold a lecture on preventing falls in the senior population from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, in the BMC Center for Rehabilitation, Medical Arts Complex, 777 North St., adjacent to the main medical center.

Speakers will be Dr. Marlyn Ramos Lamboy, medical director of Rehabilitation Services at BMC and a physiatrist, and Jessica Dellaghelfa, BMC physical therapist.

They will present tips on home safety and simple exercises to help reduce the risk of falls and to improve balance.

The program is free and open to all, but seating is limited and registration is required. To register, call (413) 447-2238.
