Pittsfield: BMC undergoing construction

Posted
PITTSFIELD — Berkshire Medical Center has begun construction to move its Endoscopy Unit from the Crane Center for Ambulatory Surgery on Park Street into the main hospital building.

The new Endoscopy Unit is being built inside the former Radiation Oncology area located at the corner of Wahconah and North streets.

The driveway and parking area that are adjacent to the new unit are being reconstructed, with a widening of the driveway and a rebuilding of the patient parking area. Fencing is required to ensure safety around the construction zone.

The new unit will include a state-of-the-art space, with advanced endoscopic technology and treatment rooms for gastrointestinal procedures, colonoscopy screenings and other endoscopic care.
