Pittsfield: BRTA announces bus route change

Due to customer feedback at the Tyler Street Business Group's open house, the Berkshire Regional Transit Authority announces a change to the fixed route bus service.

Beginning Monday, April 4, the Route 4 (Dalton-Hinsdale) bus will service Springside and Elberon avenues for a six month pilot program.

Traveling inbound to the Intermodal Transportation Center, the bus will depart Rose Manor and take a right onto Elberon, continue onto Springside and left onto North Street to the ITC.

The bus traveling outbound from the ITC will head onto North, Wahconah, Charles, and North streets, onto Springside Avenue, and continue onto Elberon Avenue into Rose Manor.

From Rose Manor, the Route 4 bus will travel as before.

Persons wishing to board the bus must wave to the bus operator. Buses will stop to pick up or discharge customers wherever it is safe to do so.
