Pittsfield: Catholic Schools’ gala to honor new Hall of Fame inductees


The Catholic Schools of Pittsfield will hold its fourth annual fundraising gala, "An Evening with the Stars," on Friday, May 2, at the Crowne Plaza, to recognize alumni and community leaders who have made significant contributions in the classroom, on athletic fields and in their communities, both past and present.

This year’s gala will celebrate the men and women inducted into the Hall of Fame. Among the honorees is a U.S. diplomat, a medical doctor, a nurse, three teachers, a priest, champions for social and economic justice, a retired lawyer, a retired sheriff, and a retired professor and author.

The Hall of Fame inductees include William Archey, class of 1960; Dr. Elizabeth Blazick, class of 1994; the late Eleanor Brazeau, class of 1947; Matthew Collins, class of 1978; Donald Coudert, class of 1966; the Rev. Peter Gregory, class of 1958; George Horton, class of 1963; Cecilia James Mahoney, SSJ; John J. "Jack" Martin Sr., class of 1951; Carmen Massimiano; and David O’Brien, class of 1956.

Cocktails will begin at 6 p.m.; dinner and induction ceremony begin at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public; tickets are $100 and include dinner and drinks.
