Pittsfield: Center to offer immigration news workshop

The Berkshire Immigrant Center will hold a free immigration news workshop for members of the local community at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, at First Baptist Church, 88 South St.

The workshop will cover current events in immigration including an overview of the proposal for comprehensive immigration reform, the Provisional Family Unity Waiver, and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).

The workshop will be presented by BIC staff members Hilary Greene and Brooke Mead with support from experienced immigration attorneys Michele Sisselman and Joseph Best. The attorneys will also be available for confidential consultations following the event.
