Pittsfield: Choirs to perform in gospel concert

First Baptist Church will host its second annual gospel concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, at the church, 88 South St.

Performers include the Williams College Gospel Choir with jazz artist Avery Sharpe, choir advisor; Paula Nuss and the Berkshire Concert Chorus; Wanda Houston and choir; Michael Brown and the Berkshire Lyric Chorus, and the First Baptist Choir directed by James Kupernick.

The concert will end with all the choirs singing together.

A free will offering will be taken to support the FBC cupola restoration project which cost $250,000. The now completed cupola lights up downtown Pittsfield from dusk until 10 p.m.
