The Department of Community Development Recreation Program asks anyone who is willing to donate an evergreen tree for use as the city’s official Christmas tree at Park Square to call their office no later than Oct. 26.

Criteria includes a minimum height of approximately 30 feet; superior shape; ease of access to the tree for cutting; adequate room to safely fall the tree; and ease of transporting the tree.

Screening and selection of trees will take place the week of Oct. 29.

Cutting and installation of the tree at Park Square will be scheduled soon after the tree has been selected.
