Pittsfield: DDS to present advocacy awards

Recipients will be honored for their efforts impacting the quality of life of individuals with different abilities who live and work in Berkshire County.

The William Johnson Memorial "Unsung Hero Award" will be presented to Brittany McDermott, of Pittsfield. As a shared living provider, McDermott has welcomed an individual into her family and home. Also being honored are Matt Masiero of Guido's Fresh Marketplace, Bill Mclear, of Cheshire, Brittany Dorwin, of North Adams, and Mark Brodeur, of Pittsfield, all of whom exemplify how community members can support those with different abilities further enhance their quality of life.
