Pittsfield: Dinner to benefit homeless women and children


Berkshire Co-Act is sponsoring a chicken parmesan and pasta dinner to benefit Berkshire County’s homeless women and children from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at First United Methodist Church, 55 Fenn St.

The menu also includes salad, rolls, beverages, and dessert. The price is $10 per person. For reservations or information, call (413) 442-8591.

Co-Act, Community Organizing for Action, is a non-profit organization located within FUMC. One of Co-Act’s current initiatives involves women’s and children’s transitional housing, a first step out of homelessness.

Homelessness is a growing issue in Berkshire County, in particular, a lack of housing for women and children.
