State Sen. Benjamin B. Downing, D-Pittsfield, has announced that his district office, located at 7 North St., Suite 307 in downtown Pittsfield, is once again serving as a drop-off site for Toys for Tots holiday donations.

Downing’s office will accept donations of unwrapped toys until Dec. 17, when they will be collected by the Marines of Machine Gun Platoon, Anti-Terrorism Battalion, from the Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee.

All donations collected by Downing and other drop-off sites locally will be distributed to needy children throughout western Massachusetts by the Marines.

Downing’s office is open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Walk-ins are always welcome; no appointment is necessary to bring a donation or speak with the senator’s district staff.
