Pittsfield: Drum & Dance Fest to benefit nature center

The seventh annual Berkshire Drum and Dance Fest will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at Berkshire Community College in the Koussevitsky Arts Center's Boland Theater.

The event celebrates the spirit of the drum and West African drum and dance traditions. Over 75 drumming artists will be featured in short performance segments.

Proceeds benefit the Tamarack Hollow Nature & Cultural Center in Windsor.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for the Tamarack Hollow Trading world marketplace, silent auction, nature displays, and showing of the Tamarack Hollow video in the theater.

The suggested donation is $10-20+ at the door or make a donation at www.tamarackhollownatureandculturalcenter.org.
