Pittsfield: Eagles Band announces summer performances


The Eagles Band Organization has announced several concerts in celebration of its 78th year as the oldest continuing performance ensemble in the Berkshires.

The Eagles Band will kick off its summer season with an outdoor concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, at Springside Park. Selections will include Patriotic themes and lively show tunes.

Patrons should bring a blanket or chair and take advantage of the picnic-like atmosphere. In the event of rain, Springside Park concerts will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Fenn Street. A performance schedule can be found at www.eaglesband.org and on its Facebook page.

The schedule of upcoming performances is as follows:

Melbourne Place, 2 p.m. June 28; Lilac Park, Lenox, 6:30 p.m. July 2*; Clark Art Institute, Williamstown, 7 p.m. July 4; Dalton CRA, 7 p.m. July 10; Springside Park, 7 p.m. July 15 and Aug. 5*; Hinsdale Fire House, 2 p.m. Aug. 10; Spectrum Playhouse, Lee, 7 p.m. Aug 14; Veteran’s Home, Bennington, Vt., 6:30 p.m. Aug. 20; and Colonial Theatre, 7 p.m. Nov. 8.

*Denotes Stage Band performance.
