Pittsfield: Elder Services announced ombudsman training program

Elder Services of Berkshire County announces a training program for volunteers wishing to serve as long term care ombudsman.

Volunteers who successfully complete the three day training program will be able to receive, investigate, and mediate complaints made by, or on behalf of, nursing and rest home residents.

The training will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, November 13, 14 and 15, at Elder Services, 66 Wendell Ave.

Ombudsman volunteers participate in the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program at Elder Services.
