Pittsfield: Epoch to host eye-gaze technology demonstration

Epoch Assisted Living at Melbourne will welcome Gentiva speech pathologist Scarlet Watson for an interactive demonstration on eye-gaze technology at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 28.

Eye-gaze technology tracks and monitors eye movement, allowing individuals to use computers hands-free. This technology is particularly helpful for people with cerebral palsy or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, enabling them to use the Internet and better communicate with friends, family and others.

Watson will show attendees how to use eye-gaze technology and give them an opportunity to try it out.

This event is free and open to the public, but space is limited. For information or to RSVP, call (413) 499-1992. Epoch is located at 140 Melbourne Road.
