Thursday May 16, 2013

The public is invited to join IS183 Art School of the Berkshires and the students of IS183’s Learning Through Arts after-school programs from the Morningside Community School and Pittsfield High School for two exhibitions celebrating the achievements of young artists.

LTA is an after-school art-making curriculum which reinforces academic curriculum goals while teaching creativity and encouraging unique work.

Morningside Community School’s spring semester Program Ending Art Exhibit and Completion Ceremony will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, at the Colonial Theatre. Sixty-five students participated in the program.

Pittsfield High School students participating in "Lift: Exploring the Aerodynamics and Physics through Art" will present their final art show from 5 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, at the Berkshire Museum.

Both events are open to the public and free of charge.
