Pittsfield: First Fridays Artswalk to feature over 40 artists
The public is invited to stroll Pittsfield’s Upstreet Cultural District from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1, and enjoy open studios, artist receptions, a free guided tour and hot cocoa during February’s First Fridays Artswalk.
The Artswalk features 22 locations and over 40 artists this month, ranging from sneak previews of 10X10 Upstreet Arts Festival shows, to the opportunity to create an artistic handprinted valentine for a loved one, and a free guided tour.
This month First Fridays Artswalk will also welcome two new downtown venues: MadJack’s BBQ, 295 North St., will feature photography by Heather Cachat, and the newly opened Maria’s European Delights, 142 North St., will host a show titled "Heritage: B Photography of Poland" by Sophia Lee.
In addition, attendees can explore Museum Facsimiles new, expanded location at the corner of South Street and Park Square.
Free full-color Artswalk maps can be picked up at locations throughout downtown, or downloaded at discoverpittsfield.com/firstfridaysartswalk.
