Pittsfield: Free meals provided for children
Pittsfield School Food Service announces its participation in the USDA Summer Food Service Program for children.
Free meals are provided to attending children 18 years of age and under from Monday, June 30, through Friday, Aug. 22. Adult meals are $3.
Meals will be provided at the following sites:
n Conte Community School, West Union Street: Breakfast from 8:30 to 9 a.m.; Lunch from 12:30 to 1 p.m.
n Morningside Community School, Burbank Street: Breakfast from 8:30 to 9 a.m.; Lunch from 12:30 to 1 p.m.
n Dower Square, 253 Wahconah St.: Lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m.
n First United Methodist Church, 55 Fenn St.: Lunch from noon to 1 p.m.
Pittsfield Schools Nutrition Services has teamed up with Berkshire United Way to offer a weekly story time and craft activity after lunch.
The story time will follow lunches at Conte on Mondays, Morningside on Tuesdays, and Dower Square on Wednesdays. All are invited to attend.
