Pittsfield girls beat Wahconah, giving the Generals 4 straight wins
PITTSFIELD -- The Pittsfield girls soccer team started its season with a loss. Since then, it's been smooth sailing for coach Andy Waluszko's team.
The Generals' fourth straight win came Tuesday at Kirvin Park as Trinity Cookis scored twice in a 2-0 victory over Wahconah.
"They know [the loss to West Springfield] was a little wakeup call too," said Waluszko. "We have to step up every game."
Cookis converted a crossing pass from Nicole Alfonsi into a goal in the eighth minute.
Allie Hunt did the rest, as the sophomore goalkeeper had three saves to pick up the shutout.
