Pittsfield: Goodwill to celebrate graduates of job training programs

Goodwill Industries of the Berkshires will hold a graduation ceremony and celebration for the second graduating class of "Business 101: Spot-On-Cleaning" students at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at its administrative and training center at 158 Tyler St.

Light refreshments and tours of Goodwill’s training center and warehouse will be offered at the event, which is free and open to the public.

Goodwill is now accepting applicants for two of its job training and skill development programs: "Spot-On-Cleaning" and "Soft Skills Development." The courses will be held in Pittsfield beginning in July.

Goodwill’s tuition-free classes are available to those with barriers to work, including the working poor, those with disabilities, those lacking a high school diploma or GED, dislocated individuals and families, ex-offenders, older workers, at-risk youth, non-English speakers and veterans.
