Pittsfield: Hunger brigades to collect funds

Interfaith volunteers with buckets will be collecting donations at the Park Square and Berkshire Crossing intersections each Saturday in September in support of the Oct. 1 CROP Hunger Walk.

The annual CROP Hunger Walk on Sunday, Oct. 1, begins with registration at 1 p.m. at First Church of Christ on Park Square, 27 East St. Walkers will follow a two-mile loop on North and South Streets, returning to First Church for refreshments.

Twenty-five percent of the funds raised in Pittsfield will go to The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, supporting local food pantries and food programs in Berkshire County.
