Pittsfield: Jewish Federation offers breast cancer talk


The Jewish Federation of the Berkshires hosts Melissa Rosen, director of national outreach for Sharsheret, a national not-for-profit organization that supports women and families of all Jewish backgrounds facing breast cancer, at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at Knesset Israel, 16 Colt Road.

The free program is part of the JFB's Connecting With Community series.

In her program, "What's Jewish About Breast Cancer?," Rosen will offer insight into why breast cancer is an issue for the Jewish community.

The program precedes a kosher lunch at noon. Lunch costs $7, $2 for adults over 60. Lunch reservations are required by 9 a.m. Thursday at 413-442-2200.
