Pittsfield: Jewish Federation series welcomes 'Slightly Jewish' author

The Jewish Federation of the Berkshires welcomes author Lyla Blake Ward, who will be talking about her new book, "Broadway, Schrafft's and Seeded Rye — Growing Up Slightly Jewish on the Upper West Side," at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at Knesset Israel, 16 Colt Road.

Blake's work has been published in numerous magazines and newspapers for more than 60 years.

Part of the Federation's Connecting With Community series, the program precedes a kosher lunch at noon. Lunch costs $7, $2 for adults over 60.

Lunch reservations are required before 9 a.m. Thursday at 413-442-2200.
