Pittsfield: Kids’ Place to present child abuse prevention conference


Berkshire County Kids’ Place will present its third annual conference on child abuse, "Child Abuse Prevention, Intervention and Treatment Strategies for Our Community" from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at the Pittsfield Country Club.

This will be a full day conference for all community professionals about the identification and strategies to support children that are victims of child abuse and trauma.

Keynote speaker John Kelly of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children will present "Internet Predators and Child Pornography: Keeping Our Kids Safe in this Ever Changing World."

The cost is $75 without credits or $95 with professional development credits and includes continental breakfast, lunch and certificate of attendance. For students, the cost is $55.
