Pittsfield: ‘Walk for Others’ to benefit Salvation Army programs

The Salvation Army is hosting its first Walk for Others from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Belanger Field located at East and Newell streets.

All proceeds will support the vital programs and services The Salvation Army offers to support Berkshire County neighbors in need. These services include a wide variety of emergency assistance, a community feeding program and food pantry, as well as assistance for families during the holiday season.

Participants will be asked to solicit donations or pledges from friends and family prior to the event. The number of miles walked is dependent upon the individual participant.

To register or to donate to the event, contact The Salvation Army at 298 West St., (413) 442-0624, or salvationarmyma.org/pittsfieldwalk.
