Pittsfield man charged with brass knuckles possession

PITTSFIELD -- A Pittsfield man who was banging on doors at Appleton Avenue on Thursday was arrested for allegedly having brass knuckles in his possession, according to Pittsfield police.

Michael Howard Wood, 19, of California Avenue, is scheduled to be arraigned in Central Berkshire District Court this morning on a felony charge of carrying a dangerous weapon.

Wood is the second person to be arrested with brass knuckles in two days by Pittsfield police. Another city man was arrested on Wednesday night with brass knuckles, following an investigation into an armed robbery and pistol whipping. The subject was not believed to have taken part in the robbery.
