Pittsfield: MassDOT announces South Street milling, paving schedule

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced the milling and paving schedule for the South Street project. Drivers should anticipate construction related delays and seek alternate routes.

Milling will begin Monday, Sept. 24, from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting at West Housatonic Street heading south to Spadina Parkway. Work is estimated to last four to five days.

Paving will begin Monday, Oct. 1, from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting in gravel areas at Crofut Street and then Harding Street on Monday, then back to West Housatonic Street heading south with leveling and binder courses to Spadina Parkway. Paving is estimated to take five to six days.
