Pittsfield: Meat raffle to benefit Lions Club charity

The Pittsfield Lions Club will hold its third meat raffle starting at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Polish Community Club, 55 Linden Ave.

Special mixed meat packages from Harry's Super market will contain various mixtures of beef, chicken and pork. One special package will include a certificate to have the meat cut to the winner's liking.

The event includes a 50/50 raffle, gift certificates from local markets and liquor stores, and special gift baskets.

Prior to each raffle, tickets will be sold for $1 each, four for $3 or "an arms length" for $5. All raffle proceeds will support Massachusetts eye research. Information: Lion Dave at (413) 997-3179.
