Pittsfield: Mental Health Legislative Forum slated April 4

A Mental Health Legislative Forum will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 4, at the Berkshire Athenaeum, 1 Wendell Ave.

Berkshire County legislators including state Sen. Benjamin B. Downing and state Representatives Paul Mark, Gail Cariddi, William "Smitty" Pignatelli, and Tricia Farley-Bouvier, have been invited.

Attendees will hear updates on legislation pertinent to mental health and substance abuse from the delegation along with current concerns they have for the community.

This free event is a joint effort among Brien Center, Berkshire Coalition for Suicide Prevention, Clinical Support Options, Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, National Alliance on Mental Illness Berkshire County, Servicenet, South Bay Mental Health, and Western Mass. Recovery Learning Community.
