Pittsfield: Miss Hall's student chosen for state music festival

Miss Hall's School announces that senior Natalia Soborski of Dalton successfully auditioned for this year's Massachusetts Music Educators Association's All-State Festival Concert.

Soborski, the daughter of Andrew and Cecylia Soborski, will sing as a soprano with the All-State Chorus in the concert, which will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at Symphony Hall in Boston.

In January, Soborski and four other MHS students performed in the MMEA's Western District Festival Concert at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. It was the fourth time — first as a vocalist — that she was selected for the event. Each of the previous three years, she played violin in the District Orchestra.

Soborski is co-head of Grace Notes, Miss Hall's School's a cappella singing group, and has performed as a violinist, vocalist and pianist during MHS music events in classical, jazz, and rock genres.

She also writes, records and performs her own compositions, and she recently recorded her first EP, which is available on Soundcloud.
