Pittsfield: Mixed martial arts exhibition benefits MS

A mixed martial arts exhibition to benefit multiple sclerosis research was held Feb. 20 at The Infield, 10 Lyman St.

Proceeds totaling $1,580 have been donated to the Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis.

The event was the first in a series of exhibitions to benefit the MS project.

The promoters, Mike Massery of The Infield, Phil Massery, and Bill and Nancy Salvatore of Chin Bo Jok, are hoping to generate some friendly competitions.

Possible competitors include firefighters vs. policemen, deputy sheriffs vs. corrections officers, etc.
