Pittsfield: Morningside Neighborhood Pride Night slated June 5
The Morningside Initiative and Morningside Community School are partnering on the 10th annual Morningside Neighborhood Pride Night set for 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at Morningside Community School, 100 Burbank St.
Neighborhood Pride Night is designed to bring out the residents who live in the Morningside neighborhood and the people who work in the area. As the name of the event suggests, the purpose of the event is to instill a sense of pride in the neighborhood and aid in the revitalization of the Morningside area.
The event will include demonstrations, activities and games for kids, a bounce house, resource fair, and hot dogs available for purchase. Bring gently owned books and clothing for the Swap Table.
The Berkshire Health Systems Community Outreach Van will be on site.
The event is free to attend and will include a neighborhood pride march around the Morningside School block to showcase the pride the residents have for their community. Information will be available on the Morningside Neighborhood Watch that meets the fourth Wednesday of every month.
