Pittsfield: Multi-cultural festival celebrates diversity & unity


Manos Unidas Hands Helping Hands Cooperative will host a multi-cultural festival and dance to celebrate diversity and unity on Saturday, Oct. 1.

The Harvest of Hope Festival showcases an array of performances, artists, and partner agency workshops from noon to 5 p.m. at The Common on First Street, followed by a Harvest Feast of multi-cultural cuisines from 5:15 to 7 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. Donations ($5-$10) are suggested for the Harvest Feast, but all are welcome regardless of ability to pay.

The day culminates in a World Groove Dance-In with Berkshire Bateria and global dance style instructors from 7:30 to 11 p.m. at Unitarian Universalist Church, 175 Wendell Ave. Admission is $10, $15 for couples.
