Pittsfield: Music historian to lecture on comic Jewish cowboys

Music historian Aaron Manela will give a multimedia presentation sponsored by the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires titled "Khosn Cowboy Mazl Tov: Wild West Jewish Cowboy Clowns in Music, Rodeos and Animation" at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Temple Anshe Amunim, 26 Broad St.

Manela will reveal the previously untold story of the comic Jewish cowboy in American popular entertainment.

The fee is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Bring your own lunch. Cold beverages/desserts will be served.
