Pittsfield: NAMI seeks donations for holiday gift bags

The National Alliance on Mental Illness Berkshire County invites community members to participate in the annual holiday collection and distribution of gift bags to patients in the psychiatric wards at Berkshire Medical Center.

Items may include winter hats, gloves, socks, travel-size toiletries, toothbrushes, toothpaste, lip balm, nail care items, pocket planners, small games, puzzles, playing cards, note paper, journals, pens, pencils, gum, candy, healthy snacks, movies, books, craft supplies, and puzzles.

Donated items can be dropped off at the NAMI Berkshire County office, 333 East St., Room 417, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Monetary donations via credit card can be made by calling 413-443-1666, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., or online at http://namibc.org/.

Checks payable to NAMI Berkshire County can also be dropped off at the NAMI Berkshire County office.

The deadline to donate or drop off items is Thursday, Dec. 17.
