Pittsfield: New poetry book offered at Arrowhead


The Berkshire County Historical Society will formally release its latest publication, "Red Barn, Volume Two," a second installment of new poetry created by the Arrowhead Poetry Workshop, at 6 p.m. Monday, July 25, at Arrowhead, 780 Holmes Road.

There are 26 new poems in the book along with one by Herman Melville, a poem he worked on for over 20 years.

The authors include Marie T. Gormalley, Karen Schoemer, Barney Edmonds, Victoria Passir, Todd L. Johnson, J. Peter Bergman, and Elizabeth Vickery Haight.

Each will read one of their poems included in the new book along with other poetry they have written. Refreshments will be served.

Books will be available to purchase for $8.50.
