Pittsfield: Opera singer to perform in Jewish Federation program

The Jewish Federation of the Berkshires will present "A Singer Needs to Sing," featuring the operatic voice of Arlene Adler accompanied Lee Bellaver, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6, at Congregation Knesset Israel, 16 Colt Road.

Making her third appearance for the Federation, Adler’s repertoire will include selections from "Aida," "Ballo en Maschera" and "Nabucco," among others. Her presentation will include stories of time spent with various opera companies including the New York City Opera.

Bellaver has been a chorister and soloist with the New York City Opera for 31 years.

The program is open to the public at a cost of $3.
