Pittsfield: PHS names class speaker


PITTSFIELD >> Terrence "T.J." Nykorchuck, president of the Pittsfield High School Class of 2016, will be the class speaker at the PHS graduation at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at Tanglewood in Lenox.

Nykorchuck is the son of Christine and Albert Russell of Pittsfield and Michael and Jennifer Nykorchuck of Pittsfield.

During his four years at PHS, he has been president of his class from sophomore to senior year and was a member of Class Council, Dollars for Scholars and the National Honors Society.

In addition, Nykorchuck attended Massachusetts Boys State and participated in the Berkshire County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program in his junior year.

He qualified for high honors all four years at PHS and ran cross-country and track for two years.

Nykorchuck will attend Williams College next year.
