Pittsfield: PHS orchestra to perform spring concert

PHS chamber orchestra will present its annual spring concert at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 8, in St. Stephen’s Church. The concert is free and open to the public.

The PHS orchestra will perform "Concerto for two solo violins and cello" with orchestra by Antonio Vivaldi, first movement from the "Holberg Suite" by Edward Grieg, "Concerto for solo viola with orchestra" by George Telemann, and "Oblivion" by Astor Piazzola.

Herberg Middle School orchestra students and students from Kids 4 Harmony will join the PHS orchestra for two music works: "Warrior Legacy" by Soon Hee Newbold and "Postcards from Russia" arranged by Carrie Lane Gruselle.
