Pittsfield: Pittsfield Prevention Partnership to present youth forum

The Pittsfield Prevention Partnership will present "Teens Talk About Tough Topics" from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 4, at the Boys and Girls Club Lighthouse Café.

Some of the evening’s topics include drugs and alcohol, sexuality, bullying, fitting in, isolation, depression, etc.

Students from Taconic High and Reid Middle schools’ Students Against Destructive Decisions, the Gladys Allen Brigham Center’s Teen Outreach Program, and Barrington Stage Co.’s Playwright Mentoring Project will present interactive discussions on the teen experience.

Staff from the Brien Center will moderate.

Free and open to the public, the forum is recommended for parents, caregivers, tweens, and teens. Those who attend can enter to win a $50 gift card to Big Y or Target. A pizza dinner will be served free of charge.
