Pittsfield: Poet laureate's works featured in multi-media program


A multi-media program featuring selected works by U.S. Poet Laureate William Jay Smith will be presented at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at the Berkshire Athenaeum, 1 Wendell Ave.

In the last years of his life, Smith collaborated with videographer Earl Shepherd and composer Alice Spatz to create a mixed media program featuring Smith reading and discussing his poetry.

Spatz and Shepherd will discuss the creative process which led to this program.

This free program is presented by the Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum and the Pittsfield Cultural Council. Those who attend will be eligible for Berkshire Community College Forum Credits.
