Pittsfield police investigate two reports of shots fired


PITTSFIELD — City police are investigating reports of shots fired in the city Wednesday night.

The Pittsfield Police Department is expected to release information regarding the reports "at some point today," according to an email from Capt. David Granger.

According to Wednesday's police log, there were two reports of shots fired, separated by about 90 minutes. It was not clear whether anyone was injured in either case.

The first report is from 8:43 p.m. in the area of Third and Pond streets. The second call came in about 10:14 p.m. reporting shots fired in the area of Dartmouth Street.
