Pittsfield: Police Officers Union conducting fundraiser


The Pittsfield Police Officers Union, International Brotherhood of Police Officers Local 447, is conducting its fall fundraising campaign.

The fundraiser allows the Police Union to contribute to various community organizations, sponsored youth sports and events, high school arts and music programs, Special Olympic events, and scholarships.

Donors will receive complimentary tickets for a comedy show featuring Boston area comedians to be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4,at the Berkshire Hills Country Club, 500 Benedict Road.

Additional tickets will also be sold at the door for $15 each.

Employees from the fundraising company, TCI America Inc., will be contacting businesses and residents soliciting for donations.

At no time will any officers or members of the PPD be contacting residents for donations. Under no circumstances will TCI employees ask residents to leave any monies or checks at their residence unattended for pickup.
