Pittsfield: Public input sought on the use of grant funds

Posted

The Pittsfield Department of Community Development is sponsoring two public input sessions in February as part of the preparation of its 2017 Consolidated Annual Action Plan.

Sessions will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, in the Community Room at Morningside Community School, 100 Burbank St., and 5:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, in the Community Room at Conte Community School, 200 West Union St.

The purpose is to obtain comments and suggestions on how the City's federal Community Development Block Grant funds should be used to improve the quality of life in the community.

Funded projects included in the plan are required to benefit people with low and moderate-incomes; eliminate slums and blight; or address an urgent need.

Residents unable to attend the sessions may submit their comments by mail to the Pittsfield Department of Community Development, City Hall, 70 Allen St., Room 205, Pittsfield, MA 01201; via phone at 413-499-9368 or by TTY at 413-499-9340; or e-mail to OfficeofDCD@pittsfieldch.com.

Persons with special needs may contact the Department of Community Development for accommodations.
